Maca is not called the  "Queen of the Andes" for nothing . Junin - A seemingly endless expanse in the high mountains of the Peruvian Andes, where nothing grows except for an extremely resilient root -  the maca root . No other plant manages to assert itself under these extreme climatic conditions, the maca root alone has reigned supreme there and has been for over 2000 years. And it is precisely this resilience that is responsible for the extremely strong effect of Maca.

We were there ourselves in this impressive area and were fascinated by the people and their way of life. Maca has always been an integral part of everyday life in the Junin region of Peru, whether in food, for the farmers as a livelihood or as a trademark of the region, the region, the people and the Maca root form a unit there.

Although Maca is now quite well known, the really crucial differences between the different roots are hardly there. This is exactly where the mode of action of the various Maca products or the intensity of the effect is decided.

Pay attention to what is in your Maca product, the concentration, the origin (if visible) and the color of the root - you can also find more information and our buying guide for Maca products under our Maca products.

Browse through our small but fine Maca segment, we look forward to your feedback!
